Our Story

Thistle Brook Farm was founded in 2022 by Guy and Yvonne Keller with a shared vision of using entrepreneurship as a means to help and bless others. From the beginning, our goal has been to build a business that not only provides quality products but also creates meaningful employment opportunities for single parents who need the flexibility to remain present in their children's lives. We envision creating a workplace where parents can work while their children are in school, allowing them to support their families without sacrificing valuable time with their children.

The business began as a cut flower operation before evolving into the baking mix company it is today. Yvonne, whose background is in elementary education, has been the creative force behind the development of our business concepts, products, and services. Guy, drawing from his experience in cybersecurity through the United States Air Force, has focused on the administrative responsibilities, paperwork, and financial management necessary to support the business. Together, we have continued to develop Thistle Brook Farm through a combination of creativity, practical management, and a shared commitment to serving others.

Our journey into gluten-free food production began in 2024, initially driven by a household need and a desire to support three people close to us who follow a gluten-free diet. What began as a personal necessity gradually developed into an opportunity to create products that could serve a broader community. As we explored gluten-free baking and refined our recipes, we recognized the potential to build a business around accessible, quality baking mixes while pursuing our original vision of using business to bless others.

We view entrepreneurship as more than a means of generating income; it is an opportunity to create value, develop relationships, and provide practical support to others. As we continue growing our gluten-free baking mix business, we remain committed to building a sustainable company that reflects our values, serves our customers, and eventually creates the employment opportunities that inspired us from the beginning.
